Bochum, November 11, 2025. Together with the engineering firm HALFKANN+KIRCHNER, VSK Software has reached the final round of the BIM Champions Competition 2026 in the category Technology/Innovation/Solution with the project:

“Feasibility Study: Digital Fire Protection Concept in the BIM Model.”

The project is funded by the Ministry for Regional Identity, Local Government, Building and Digitalization of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The project focuses on the automatic detection of fire protection requirements through computer-assisted verification methods. These methods are intended to support fire protection planners in the future by providing rule-based assistance when creating fire protection concepts using BIM models.

A project video will be now submitted and will be available for viewing on the buildingSMART YouTube channel in April 2026.

The announcement of the winner and the award ceremony will take place on May 12, 2026, in Berlin on the eve of the buildingSMART Germany User Day.
